General release information

Release 1.12.3 was released on the 14th of January 2025 and contains a single bug fix. Below you can find more information related to the bug fix. We will update your Production account automatically and the Sandbox account can be updated from your (the customer's) end at any given time.

Bug fix

FFA-1645 Bulk Approvals Page and Portlet do not respect 'Locked and closed accounting periods'

In previous versions, approving transactions through the UI and via the Bulk Approvals page and portlet triggered different behaviors when accounting periods were closed and locked.

This approach has been now unified. All approval routing by default is executed using the Zone Approvals (Application Role). The Zone Approvals (Application Role) by default comes without 'Override period restrictions' permission. Accordingly, posting will be always executed in the first open period, or current period depending on user's accounting preferences. 

To modify the expected behavior, just edit the Zone Approvals (Application Role) and add the required permission.
